Last Updated and Effective as of: April 1, 2026
MoonLab Productions LLC (“MoonLab,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a global, full-service production + design agency turning bold visions into elevated experiences that spark connection and drive meaningful impact. At MoonLab we take privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about you when you visit our website at moonlabproductions.com (the “Site”), reach out to us about our services, or connect with us in any of the ways described below.
Please note that our privacy practices are subject to the applicable laws of the states in which we operate. If you have questions about anything in here, please contact us at legal@moonlabproductions.com.
Overview
We collect information in a few different ways, some of it you give us directly, and some of it we collect automatically when you use the site.
Collected information
When you reach out through our contact form, submit a project inquiry, sign up for our newsletter, or email us directly, you’re sharing information with us. That typically includes things like your name and email address, company, details about your project or inquiry, and any other information you choose to share in the message. We only use what you send us. We don’t ask for more than we need and we ask that you not send us any sensitive personal information (e.g. social security numbers).
Information We Collect Automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some information automatically when you visit. This helps us understand how people are finding and using the site so we can keep improving it. This information includes things like an IP address and general location, browser type and device information, how you arrived at the site (search engine, social media, referral link, etc.) Click-stream and navigation data.
This data is collected using cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking tools. It’s generally anonymized and aggregated as we’re looking at patterns, not individual behavior. See Section 5 for more on cookies.
Information from Third Parties
In some cases, we may receive information about you through third-party platforms we use to operate the site and run our business (e.g., analytics providers like Google Analytics or email marketing tools). We only use this information in connection with the services those tools are designed to provide.
How We Use Your Information
Here’s the short version: we use your information to communicate with you, improve our site, and run our business. More specifically:
To respond to your inquiries and follow up on project conversations.
To send you our newsletter, if you’ve signed up for it.
To understand how visitors use our site and make it better.
To support our marketing and business development efforts (in aggregate, not by tracking individuals).
To comply with legal obligations or protect our rights when necessary.
We don’t use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we don’t sell it. Full stop.
How We Share Your Information
We don’t sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. We’re not in that business. There are limited situations where we may share your information with others:
Service Providers: We work with a small number of trusted third-party vendors who help us run the site and our communications, things like email platforms, analytics tools, and website infrastructure. They only have access to what they need to do their job, and they’re required to keep your information secure.
Legal Requirements: If we’re required by law, court order, or government request to share information, we will. We’ll always try to notify you if we’re legally permitted to do so.
Protection of Rights: If we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of MoonLab, our users, or others, we may share information as appropriate.
Business Transfers: If MoonLab is ever acquired, merged, or its assets transferred, your information may be part of that transaction. We’d notify you if that happens and if it changes how your data is used.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your information for as long as it’s needed for the purpose it was collected or as long as we’re required to by law. In practice: Inquiry and contact form data is retained for as long as the business relationship is active or reasonably relevant; Newsletter subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe; Analytics data is retained in accordance with the retention settings of the tools we use (e.g., Google Analytics default retention). When information is no longer needed and there’s no legal reason to keep it, we delete or anonymize it.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our site uses cookies, small files stored on your device, to make the site work properly and to help us understand how it’s being used. Here’s a breakdown of the types we use:
Essential Cookies: These are required for the site to function. You can’t opt out of these without affecting how the site works.
Analytics Cookies: These help us see things like which pages are most visited and how people navigate the site. We use Google Analytics for this. The data is aggregated and anonymous.
Preference Cookies: These remember your settings so the site behaves the way you expect on future visits.
Marketing Cookies: These help us understand the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. We don’t use them to serve ads on third-party sites.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Just know that turning off certain cookies may affect how parts of the site work. If you’d like to opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically, Google offers an opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Our site uses HTTPS encryption, and we limit access to personal information to those who genuinely need it. That said, no system is completely secure. We can’t guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to be thoughtful about what you share online. If you ever believe your information with us has been compromised, please reach out to us right away at legal@moonlabproductions.com.
Links to Other Sites
Our site may link to third-party websites, social media platforms, press coverage, vendor sites, and the like. Once you leave our site, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any sites you visit. We’re not responsible for how those sites handle your information.
Children’s Privacy: Our site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@moonlabproductions.com and we’ll delete it promptly.
Your California Privacy Rights: If you’re a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you specific rights over your personal information. We want to make sure you know what they are.
You have the right to:
Know what categories of personal information we collect about you and how we use and share it.
Access the specific pieces of personal information we’ve collected about you.
Delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
Correct inaccurate personal information we have on file.
Opt Out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. (For the record, we don’t sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.)
Non-Discrimination for exercising any of these rights. We won’t treat you differently for asking.
To make a request, contact us at legal@moonlabproductions.com. We’ll respond within 45 days, as required by law. If we need more time, we’ll let you know. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We’ll ask for written authorization and may need to verify your identity directly.
A Note for International Visitors
Our Website is maintained in the United States of America. If you are located outside the U.S., by using the Website, you authorize the export of your information to the USA and its storage and use as specified in this policy.
Do Not Track
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) feature. There’s currently no consistent industry standard for responding to DNT signals, so our site doesn’t respond to them at this time. We’ll revisit this as standards evolve.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our practices evolve or as the law requires. When we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If it’s a meaningful change, we’ll try to give you a heads-up, either through a notice on the site or an email to newsletter subscribers.
Continuing to use the site after an update means you’re okay with the revised policy. If you’re not, please stop using the site and let us know.
